Downhill Competitions

The entire competition will be conducted according to the IUF Rulebook 2019, supplemented by several adjustments.

General Regulations

There are no restrictions regarding the unicycle.

Behaviour on the Course

On unrideable sections, walking is permitted, but only very slowly at walking pace.

It must be ensured that riding participants are faster than walking participants.

After a fall, participants must come to a stop as quickly as possible. Remounting is only allowed after a complete stop.

Rolling mounts without coming to a stop beforehand are not permitted.

Riding participants are not required to make room for faster participants approaching from behind, as long as they maintain their chosen line.

However, after a fall or dismount, participants must clear the course as quickly as possible.

Participants who have fallen or dismounted must not obstruct riding participants under any circumstances, including during remount attempts.

Finish Line

The finish line may be crossed walking or riding.

Participants who cross the finish line walking or fall directly on the finish line will receive a 10-second penalty.

It is permitted to go back, remount, and cross the finish line while riding.

In this case, the second transponder trigger will count without applying the time penalty.

Start Format

Individual start with a start interval of approximately 60 seconds.
