Getting There & Transport
Here you will find the most important information on how to get to Steyr – by train, flight + train, car, as well as local transport options. Please check connections on the day of travel, as schedules and availability may change.
Recommendation: If possible, travel by train. Parking is limited around some accommodations and competition venues.
Flight + Train
For onward travel, we recommend taking the train in most cases. Use Steyr as the destination in the timetable search. NOT Steyr Münichholz!
Salzburg (SZG)
Onward travel is usually via Salzburg Central Station towards Linz/St. Valentin, followed by regional trains to Steyr.
Linz (LNZ)
Onward travel typically via Linz Central Station (public transport from the airport) and then regional trains/S-Bahn towards Steyr.
Munich (MUC)
Long-distance trains towards Linz, followed by regional trains to Steyr.
Frankfurt (FRA)
Long-distance trains towards Linz (depending on the connection), followed by regional trains to Steyr.

Train
International travel often goes via major hubs (e.g. Vienna, Linz, Salzburg, Munich). For the final leg, regional trains/S-Bahn are usually relevant.
Tip: Allow a bit of extra buffer time for transfers when travelling with luggage/unicycle.
Car
Steyr is easy to reach via the West Motorway (A1) and regional feeder roads. Please note that parking may be limited depending on the location.
- West/East: A1 → exit Region Enns/St. Valentin → continue towards Steyr.
- South: Depending on the route via A9/A1 → towards Enns/St. Valentin → Steyr.
- North: Depending on the route via S10/A7/A1 → towards Enns/St. Valentin → Steyr.
Note: If possible, use Park & Ride + public transport, or travel by train.
On site
