Disciplines
Freestyle is divided into four areas—from individual rides to large group performances:
A rider presents an individual routine with their own choreography.
Two riders perform together and present a perfectly coordinated routine.
The group competitions are divided into Small Groups (3–8 people) and Large Groups (9 or more people). Teamwork and expressiveness are at the forefront.
A technically focused competition without music — the difficulty and execution of individual tricks are at the forefront.
Regulations
All Freestyle competitions are conducted according to the IUF Rulebook. Judging is carried out by panels who evaluate technique, creativity, interpretation, and overall impression. In X-Style, only the correct execution of tricks counts. Any adjustments or additional notes for Unicon 22 will be published in due time.
Venues
The Freestyle competitions take place in a modern, spectator-friendly hall in Steyr.
- The hall is fully accessible (barrier-free)
- Separate warm-up areas for athletes
- Good access and connections to the other event venues
As soon as detailed information about the hall is available, you’ll find it here or on the Venues page.
