Health & Safety

The health and safety of all participants is the highest priority for Unicon 22. For participation in competitions, certain certificates are mandatory. In addition, medical care and emergency measures are available to ensure a fair and safe event.

Medical Fitness Certificate

  • All participants must present a medical certificate of fitness for sports.
  • The certificate must be issued by a licensed physician and confirm that the person is fit for sports competitions.
  • It must not be older than 12 months at the time of the event.
  • For minors, an additional parental/guardian consent form is required.
  • The certificate must be submitted as part of the registration. Without valid proof, participation in the competitions is not possible.

Medication

When taking certain medications, additional anti-doping rules may apply. Please check our Anti-Doping page for more information.

Important: Even over-the-counter products may be on the prohibited list. Doctors must be informed that you are participating in an international competition.

Medical Care & On-Site Safety

  • Emergency and rescue services will be available throughout the competitions and at the main venues.
  • First aid stations will be located at all major sports facilities.
  • Austrian public emergency service: Emergency number 144.
  • A detailed plan with procedures, emergency numbers, and contact points will be published in due time before the event.
  • All participants must have valid health and/or accident insurance covering international sporting events.

Safety & Prevention

  • Collaboration with the City of Steyr and local authorities for comprehensive safety measures.
  • Existing evacuation and emergency plans will be communicated and signposted on-site.
  • Participants are required to follow the marked routes and instructions of the security staff.
  • Hygiene concepts will be implemented if necessary to protect the health of all participants.
